So I saw this auction which spawned my search here. Take a look at the steering wheel.

Thats awesome... Now go find that car, and slam into it and see if the airbag works!

*EDIT* Heres the pic from the above auction to save you from looking:

Look at the ebay auction Y2KFirehawk posted, the whole car, aside from the steering wheel, is pretty much I can see a LOT of work when into the car with all the airbrush work and such, but man... brutal.

Lots of talented work done with no sense of taste or style. There are some aspects that are nice, like the airbrushing and the way the interior panels are smoothed and painted, but overall it's a mess.

Well I really like that wheel.

Now if we only knew how he did it, if it was bolt in, did he have the air bag connected.

Well now I know what I gotta find.

An ebony G3/G6/Cobalt/Solstice steering wheel. Then a G6/Solstice airbag.

Thanks for finding that.

Any updates on the Saab steering wheel deal? I don't mind how our wheel looks, its just that its so damn big but thin. Anyone who's sat in a new M3 or M5 is probably addicted to fat-rimmed steering wheels just like I am....

have you tried this? it would achieve the goal of a thicker steering wheel while keeping things (install) simple and almost stock. very interested if anyone has made it work?

Just had to wire up a few resistors, and my light went off no problem. I forgot what the resistance you need is, but im sure you can find it with a search, or if not I think I still have the package in my car somewhere. It was like a couple of bucks total.

i have performed several searches but was unable to find anything. could you take it apart and take a picture of the resistors and the processes you used?

Anybody ever think about the Solstice steering wheel...which is a Saab wheel that already has your Pontiac logo on it.

I just want to have my steering wheel rewrapped with more padding and made thicker. I like how the wheel feels and the shape and geometry of it, I just want it to be thicker, like the older 4th gen camaro's had.

So does anyone know of a place that will rewrap a steering wheel?
