Default Guys who bought a VFN fiberglasshood

I finally got my hood in. It was right in time with when the predicted it would be completed which was approx 5-6 weeks. There were also no problems in shipping, the hood was at my door 2 days after they shipped it.

Only problem....they made the wrong hood for me!

We opened it up, and were amazed how light the hood was. I really would be shocked if it WAS EVEN 11 pounds. Then we noticed the damn thing was really big....REALLY big! I was like telling my pop "I didn't realize the damn hood on my car was that big".

So today my dad took the hood to the chassis shop thats doing some other work on the car for me, to have it fitted. The guy took one look at it, and said " Thats an extended hood made to work with the complete fiberglass front clips, or complete fiberglass bodies ". It's quite abit longer than the original hood.

I know I specifically DID NOT order the extended hood. I even clarified this with the person when I ordered it.

So I know a few of you guys were considering purchasing one from them, you might call and confirm your order.

What about the quality of the hood? Does it look pretty good or does it look like it is going to need quite a bit of prep work? Just curious, been thinkin about buying one.

You think that hurts....

They sent me the right hood except one problem, one of the corners was ripped off (WTF). I called them up and told me tuff schet. Man was i mad. Finally, i found a body shop that could fiberglass me a new corner.

That's why I opened/inspected mine before I signed for it. That would really suck to have waited all that time only for it to be damaged...

PaiN: Sorry to hear they messed up your order. I feel kind of lucky now that I got the right hood, and it arrived in good shape. <img src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" border="0">
