Default Anyone running 295/50/15?

I have 15X10 draglites for street use and 295/50/15s on them. if you are running this size did you cut the inner fender or did you run spacers?

That's a popular size for DR on Mustangs.. but haven't heard of anyone using them on F-bodies.

I'm rolling around on some 15x10 Pro Stars right now and some 26x11.5x15 ET Streets. No spacers. Major grinding. Nothing rubs.

How do those tires look? Fit good? How tall?

295/50/15's are taller than 26" but less than 27", these are my street tires, some no name tire from a local shop. they are meaty!! Fitment will be better when i grind out the jounce spacer 'platform', these tires pooch out so the platform hits the tires. i could run 5/16" spacers and be fine and they dont stick out but was wanting to run them without the spacers, i will try and cut out this platform, if that does not work, spacers will be had.

The tires hit the jounce spacers when the car is on the ground?

My rears will hang up on the jounce spacers when the car is jacked up.

I have the rear axle supported by jack stands and it is hitting but I am going to move my attention on replacing the front wheel studs and then getting the car to a more level and useful place so i can tell exactly.

But that perch you are talking about where the jounce spacer would be is where it is hitting, actually above that, so I am thinking the inner fender will be clearanced, I figure a pound here and there adds up, HA! <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

Any pics?

I can't see why those tires would hit the inner fender. I know 28" slicks might.

Sorry, no pics.
I thought since I had 17X11 w/315s i had done all the clearancing of the fenderwells, but guess not. I knew the calipers were going to need the work.

The 295s are wider than 315s, 13" vs 11". the 315's were flush with the rims, probably more like 12".

I dont have time this week to mess with it, so next week i will get to spend more time on it.

I had some 295-50-15's on some 15x10 about seven years ago and I don't recall them bulging out too much.

Are the sidewalls say, half an inch out farther then the side of the rim?
