I've been told to use Coca-Cola. Just don't let it sit on anything Aluminum too long before wrinseing or it could pit it. I hear it works great! I've heard it used to clean Semi-truck engines and the police use it to get blood off sidewalks and roads. I'll be doing it in the spring to get my WS6 cleaned up and closer to Show-worthy.

I've used it twice now. Cut everything really fast and did a good job. I washed it all off and let it set before i drove it again though. Be careful around your fenders though. Probably not an issue, but it will decolor your paint if there isn't much wax on it. I watched a guy at work gave a car what looked like rosacea.

make sure engine is cool. spray on a lot. areas that are really greasy might need you to keep spraying it. let it sit for about 30 mins, then wash it down. at first youll see what looks like coffee coming out the bottom. the cleaner the engine the whiter itll be. if its mocha colored or darker then youl need to repeat the job. just keep doing it til what runs off is white.
then once its white, keep rinsing til you dont see any trace. then dry with a towel to get all excess water off, then let it sit in the sun for a while. this will limit any issues you might have with electronics, and should limit the smell of an remaining stuf burning off.

Buy some Simple Green and do a 50/50 mix with water. Been doing that for the longest and never had any probs. I bought one of the pesiticide sprayers from Home Depot for $20 and it holds two gallons. I pour the whole Simple Green gallon in it and fill the rest with water. Easy two gallons worth of degreaser.

What I do is wet down the engine bay........ warm the car up, spray the degreaser and let it run for a bit..... turn the car off...... let it sit for 5-10 Minutes. Then use a light stream of water to clear everything off. has worked great for me. If the car is cold the grease does not want to come off very easy, when the motor is warm/hot, it runs.

Most engine degreasers require you to apply them while the motor is hot. Ive used black magic and a few others and they all say the same thing.

and simple green is corrosive. it has been known to eat through aluminum with its not washed off well enough, i would avoid it.

Gunk will also strip/dull paint if left on too long. I wouldn't recommend it.
All you need is a little simple green diluted with water. Let sit for 30 seconds and mist away with a hose, avoiding direct contact with the PCM/ABS module and intake area.
Then a can of Kar Kraft high light goes a looong way.

[QUOTE=Atver300;10542108] Found mine at Checkers!
And for using Gunk, make sure to let it sit for 30 minutes; spray on a COOL engine (not cold); and spray the "bad" areas HEAVILY.
