Thanks guys!!!

Awhile back in this thread I picked up a Hooker complete exhaust system to go with my Hooker LT headers. Finally got around to installing it tonight, kind of, still need to connect the y pipe to the headers bc I dont have a flange coming off the LTs. But anyways, the exhaust tips look NICE on the car...

Also throwing it out there if anyone has a LS1 SS radiator support laying around. I have a "trimmed" Z28 LS1 radiator base that I used when I had the LT1 front clip on. If you have the Glasstek cowl hood, you just need this, a SLP lid and bellow for the conversion. I will trade for the raised SS radiator support so my SS hood is functional.

Lookin good, you made lots of progress since I last checked.

I don't care how she looks on the outside, as long as its 23* and reverse cooled on the inside .

Little bit of progress despite the cold rainy weather moving in. The grill (which I may smooth and paint black) and turn signal lenses are installed. Just finishing up putting the dash back together after re-installing the HVAC system and should be driveable again, too bad the season is almost done though.

Grill and turn signals in...

Engine bay after heat, a/c, power steering is added back in. Took a Edelbrock STB in on trade awhile back so I added that as well to the engine bay. I still have a couple bugs to work out. Found out the bleeder valve was leaking coolant (hence the bolt in the line as a temp fix) and I need to install the overflow tank as well. Although Im going to paint that black first.

I just picked up a radiator support, lid, MAF, and what looks to be a stock accordian style ls1 TB-to-MAF bellow (isn't that what it's called?) from Ebay to use on a 95 Z28. I think it's probably just a normal Z28 one, but how would I tell? It looks to be raised about an inch. I didn't measure it....just eyeballed.

Just an update...Also its been just a hair over two years since I started this thread...

After more money than I expected but still within reason and a change of plans for the build (was going to be a full out race car now a quick street car) I think its alot better. LS1 front clip, SS hood/spoiler/wheels, LS1 dash and center console and still an LT1 engine

Cant wait to see what this year will bring for the car. Although this will be my wife's summer daily driver, she said I can play with it as long as she can drive it without any issues. I have a couple ideas in my mind so we will see what happens!

As far as future plans, right now its parked for the winter with junk wheels on it since I will be redoing the silver 10 spoke SS wheels to look like the 35 Anniversary Edition wheels. I still need to finish the exhaust and install the CD player and speakers back in as well.

Nice work. Did you see the previous reply from me about the LS1/ram air radiator support for sale? I'm not sure if it's still available, but knew you were looking at one time.

Also, will it fit into the new Street Stock class??

Yeah, someone told me there is no difference between the z28 and SS radiator support, only the ws6s had the raised ones.

As far as the Street Stock, I guess so, not sure the official rules, but the engines never been apart yet other than the valve covers. I have some 1.6 Comp Cam rocker arms Ive been meaning to install one day.
