Is this a bulb or a fog lamp assembly you guys are talking about?

Hell, I'm not even sure about the fog lamps. Do you have to buy an entirely new bulb and housing like you have to do with the head lights, or is the assembly itself made to receive new bulbs when the old ones burn out?

Yes...to the second
Our fog lights are seperate housings. Only the bulbs are replaced from behind.

Looks like im bringing this back from the dead...........are you guys doing the 35w or 55w kits? I have a 35w kit in my truck and its pretty bright but im looking to possibly run my fogs as head lights in my TA and im curious if anyone has run into any issues with the 55w kits. I know they can get HOT and I dont want anything melting...like a wiring harness for instance...also, with my trucks head lights I had a wiring harness I had to use, grounds that needed to be mounted, and some other bs. Are the ballast for these fog lights truly plug and play or am I gonna need to do some other work?

This has been said before, but I'll say it again, FOG LIGHTS CANNOT BE USED AS A REPLACEMENT FOR LOW BEAMS, the fog lights are physically to low on the car to be a usable light for low beams no matter how bright, every hill you hit will show you why this doesn't work, also it is flat out illegal to use fogs as low beams in several states as low beams MUST be 2 feet from the ground to center of the low beams in those states.

Thanks for the answer, but I still need to know whether or not the ballast are actually plug and play...I know state and local laws and if I was that concerned about them, I wouldnt even be putting HID's on the car period because technically, they are illegal all together without projectors.

Projectors are the only way to do it correctly.

I knew I didn't want to go without having projectors in the headlights as I saw how annoying my HID's in my fog lights were. I had to spend some considerable time to aim them so that they were not blinding everyone. I had my wife drive the car past me on highway over and over again, resetting them each time..

I knew I also wanted to use the Hella 60mm and found a good deal on them and picked up a set.

Then I basically took the dimensions of the stock headlight bucket and had a handful of brackets cut out and threw them in the car.

Here are the brackets. I painted them with Rustoleum truck bed liner. This stuff rocks and looks really good. I've used it on everything from airplanes to rifles.. LOL.

Then I mounted them up..
