Here's a side pic my '01 that hasn't been waxed in just about 10 months now. Maybe you can try my method being that I'm trying yours 
I think my wife is getting me the same thing for x-mas too. She was asking about the Triplets kit and Ultimate kit the other day. I think I will just tell her to get the Triplets & Total protection kit as I've already got all the other stuff.
