Default Window leaked while in car wash

Hey guys.

Had the T/A the other day and since it was pretty cold out, I took her to my favorite touchless car wash. As the sprayers would go by, water would enter the car through the back of the window and door. Towards the rear of the car. I realized this is an "extreme" condition with the high pressure water and all but should I look into replacing the weather stripping? I made sure the door was tight and the window was fully up after the first pass and it didn't make much difference. Car is a 2002 WS6 with 100K+ on her.

mines does that too and i only have 60k on the car. im pretty sure replacing the window seals would fix it but it only happens with high pressure water

Exactly the deal with mine also. Water trickles in from the top rear corners of the windows every now and then.

Car washes = leaking with that type of high pressure. Save your money and don't worry about it unless it gets real bad.

Yeah were not talking about a drip or small trickle here. It was quite alot of water. Any recommendations where to get new weather strip?

Mine too. On my drivers side. You can actually see a gap between the glass and weatherstrip. It's not too large, but it's there. I have to pull on my door towards me to close the gap a little just so I don't get soaked. I just have to adjust the glass I'm assuming and maybe replace the strips. I'd like that writup though when you get the chance Navy.

i have a hard top and mine will trickle just a little bit too...not nearly a big enough deal for me to replace the stripping.
EDIT: I only have 23K on the dash

Mine did the same thing when I got it...Freaked me out that I had water coming from behind me....Here's a trick I was told to try that helped...
Where the window meets the pillar, there's actually some metal under that weather stripping...that spot tends to be where rear passengers grab hold to get out of the back seat and they end up pulling it back causing a gap between the rubber and the glass when you shut the door. You should be able to make the gap smaller by just pulling that back out. I'll get some pics tonight to show what I'm talking about. My boyfriend actually did it for me so I'm not 100% sure if he pulled the stripping back or not to do it.

I always have a ball cap in my car so i just lean the seat back and press the cap up against the prob area. Easiest fix i'v found yet.

I noticed that the high pressure pushed the windows back (inwards) and caused a minor leak with the V6 I had. The water is just moving the window in a sense giving it a spot to go to.
