Default TA bumper on Camaro??

some people may remember the guy who was selling CME valances and planned on doing a valence that would work with corsa tips and then went MIA.

well, ive been wanting a valence for my exhaust and i just happened to pass a TA the other day, so i started thinking, has anyone ever put a TA bumper on a Camaro? am i crazy for thinking it might be a good idea?

i thought maybe id try to find a junked TA to get the bumper. it would most definitely require quite a bit of cutting and fabbing to get it to fit, but does anyone think its doable?

im only hesitant to try this because ive seen some of the bastard TA/Camaro creations and i dont want my baby thrown in with that group.

You may be able to graft the lower half of the Ta bumper to the one off the camaro but as for fitting the whole piece I doubt it. Probably not too much work in plastic welding the valance into the other bumper and finishing it out. But the two cars are alot different out back as far as quarter panel, and taillight section dimensions. Be awfully cobbled up.

I don't think the T/A rear bumper will flow with the lines on the Camaro......honestly

Youre right. I wish I could find a cheap TA bumper somewhere so I could mess around with it. I dont drive the Camaro in the winter, so time isnt an issue. I just wish there was a better alternative out there. The CME valances are too expensive for me to mess around with. Id hate to drop 300 dollars or whatever and then screw it up.

I thought 6Liter was selling the tips and CME Valance for $650. That's not a bad price IMHO...if I didn't need to do some other things I would pick one up

I realize that, but I think with some work it wouldnt look out of place. Ive always thought the rear bumper on Camaros doesnt extend down far enough, and CME fills it out nicely.

While I agree that our stock bumper suck I don't think the T/A bumper molded/retrofitted would look good. But I could be wrong

pretty sure the shape of the tail light would hold you back, unless you cut it all up....

ive thought about this same thing. TA rear bumper, side skirts, and something to liven up the plain boring front bumper a bit to flow with the new style. now that would be bad ***

THE CME is sexy. Its gonna be just as expensive to make ur own bumper opposed to just buying that.
