UPDATE: Targa roof is close to production...
#67
Ok, so I FINALLY can update this thread as I FINALLY have good news. Unfortunately, the previous person involved with this wasn't able to finish it.
He gave it a great effort and came out with a great looking plug for the mold BUT life got in the way (he bought a house and had a lot of other stuff going on) and when the first mold basically destroyed the plug it was game over.
SINCE THEN, I've been trying to find someone else with the talent to design this for us (I have production capabilities now, just needed a good designer) and man have I found a guy.
I'll give him all the credit in the near future but we wanted to hold off until everything is done. He fixed up a 2010 spoiler that a friend gave a valiant effort (making a design I came up with) but that had fell short of being a production piece.
This new person made VERY short work of making the spoiler AWESOME (pics coming within a week or so) and I'm sure will do the same with the targa.
SO, the goal is to get back to where we left of, here...
...and working towards that goal, myself, Sommer86 and LT1John took the roof off a junkyard car today...
^^That's John (LT1John) in the pic, I'm sure he won't be too happy about the pic posting but oh well
The roof will be made short work of I'm sure as soon as the spoiler is finished.
The good news I have so far is shipping is looking promising. I'd say about $30-$50 INCLUDING the box. That is GREAT NEWS to keep pricing down (for valances and splitters I pay near $100 which KILLS me on the pricing and KILLS you guys).
Now, I just need to get my hands on as many busted t-tops as possible to get the hardware...
So, that's all for now. As soon as I have a time frame I'll update this again
