Had an orange peel removal session myself this past summer. That thing is going to pop out in the sun! Good work!

Will 1500 be able to get the orange peel though? From what I read, 2000 isn't strong enough for orange peel, so doing the rest of the car with 2k doesn't sound like it'll do much. What mid grit compound are you talking about? The Menzerna Power Gloss removes up to 1500 grit scratches, so it seems like its fitting the job.

But hey, any tips to help shave down that time would be greatly appreciated! Let me know, and keep em comin!

I would start wit 1500, and dont get to crazy with it, if you remove to much you will get what they call crows feet, little stress cracks because to much clear was removed.
It takes time for them to show up, I did the hood of my truck starting with 1500 and removed too much.

So just be carefull, the less clear you remove the better.

Good luck, and take your time.

1500 will get it out just fine it will take a little longer then the 1000 to cut through the clear, but will take less time then the 2 steps of 1000 then 1500. maguires, and 3m both make great compounds, the meg. is usually labeled from 1-10 on how agressive it is 1 being fine 10 being heavy cut. also if you use a wool pad with the compound it will work better than the foam. you should be able to go compound with a wool pad to polish with a foam pad, then finish with a glaze on a seprate foam pad. just try on your spoiler and see how it goes.

Thanks! I'll give that a try tonight.

As for Meguiars, i find that its not as good as Menzerna. I've been using it for a few years now, and after trying out Menzerna, its a nice step up. But I still have a huge array of the Megs compounds (82, 83, 85, 80, 105, SOLO, and a few others lol).
