how long would it take to do my whole car like this?
and is there any real benefit to the wetsanding over just polishing? idk... just lookin for info.

time depends on how much wet sanding is needed. Could be 20 hours, but could easily top 50.

I would love to try this out on my dakota..but I'm almost positive you'd have to have a porter cable and all I have is a ryobi thing that goes in circles basically used to spread wax and keep my wrist from hurting lol

Porter Cable at least, Rotary would make much faster work of it though

Thanks guys! I definately want to pick up a paint guage too!

Yeah this is for practice, but I plan on doing my entire car very soon.

Nice work... FYI paint gauges dont work accurately on SMC and fiberglass parts.... only metal.

i looks sick but i dont have the ***** to dio that specially bbecause factory clear coat is thin as ****.....unless that was an aftermarket painted item...you have big giant huevos my friend it looks awsome

yeah depending on what hood you have this will really only work on the quarter panels

haha, now i'm scared to get a paint thickness guage to check how much is left!
