Default Check out this steering wheel!

I just ordered it, it's a Billet Specialties wheel, called Alien. I also ordered a billet aluminum Chevy Bowtie horn button. Check this badboy out! This thing is going to look so damn hot in my car!

Nice steering wheel. I don't think it'd match in my SS, but it looks good in the picture!

Who needs an airbag when you have a 5 pt harness and a roll cage? Nice wheel Mike, I was thinking of getting one from billet specialties myself.

I'll definately post pics when its installed! Yes, I'm bypassing the airbag because I feel its not needed because

1. Like Jsears8 said, I'm running a 5 pt harness and roll cage.

2. My best friend had an accident back in High School and the air bag drove his crucifix he was wearing around his neck deep into his throat, he had to have it surgically removed! Needless to say I've never been a fan of airbags. Just make sure you wear your seat belt, that's all.

I think people are forgetting something, it's easy to narrow in on the bad issues of air bags, but lets not forget the thousands of lives it saves every year in automotive accidents. There are a lot of people still here on earth that normally wouldn't be here w/o the aid of an air bag.

PS: Your talking to one right now.

Lets check out these choices, have an air bag to save my life or make the car lighter. Think I will make it lighter.
How do you keep the airbag light from going off when you remove the stock steering wheel, heard a sister can be placed in the wire to prevent this? Would the horn still work?

They are sending me detailed instructions on how disable the airbag before I remove the steering wheel. The horn will still be functionable, I even ordered a billet Chevy Bowtie horn button!

I agree, **** the airbags. They do not save lives, seatbelts do.

Last year I came across a website that had dozens of posts put up by people who had been injured by air bag deployment in minor accidents. Black eyes were common. One woman suffered a broken jaw from the bag. There is a chemical powder on the bags which is a lung irritant and a couple people suffered serious effects from it. A guy on one of the Camaro boards hit a pothole and the bag deployed causing him to loose control and smash into the guardrail. Last year I was following a Mustang around the track when it spun out and hit the rail. There was more damage inside the car from both bags than on the outside from the crash. I'll take my chances without them.
