Starwarz Episode I - The Pewter Menace
Been doing a lot of work under the hood to clean up the engine bay a bit.
Before:
After:
You'll notice I did one side of the wire mod,
and painted the tower bar pewter to match the intake and the car.
Things I still need to do:
Paint valve covers, I'm thinking gloss black
Coil brackets, gloss black as well
Coil packs, pewter?
Wire mod on the other side (going to finish that up this weekend)
I'm thinking about painting the bumper suppose gloss black, maybe semi-gloss
Here is my lid idea:
I plan on painting it pewter (the top part, leaving the bottom part where it clips in black), and putting a decal with my build number on it right in the center, like this
as always, looking for feedback and suggestions

looks great. may i also suggest hiding the traction control module and the few grounds? as stated, the battery ground can go inside the fender by the turn signal. the ground on the other side can be joined with a ground thats under the fuse panel (fits without any extension), and the ones on the front bumper suppoer can go under the radiator support (top black plastic thing) and get bolted to the outside bolts for it.

Just finished my wire mod on monday and i went through one hole saw and had to get another and like many others have said...i dont know why i waited so long to this easy mod
I ended up just drilling another hole to mount the ground cables underneath. Its your car..but IMO ditch the red wire loom..it brings attention to something you are trying to hide or get rid of.

You could paint the bolts that hold the plastic around the lid on too. Very easy mod and it makes a difference. Here's what mine looks like:
Its hasn't nearly as much work done to it or isn't quite as clean, but you can see how the black bolts add just a nice little once. Its more of you don't notice them instead of them standing out.
Btw, looks good, keep up the good work on it.

Looks really good! I wish it was nicer outside so I could do some engine work.. I really wanna paint the valve covers and other stuff a flat black to clean them up a bit.. I love the simple engine look!
