i travel to weld on powerplants all the time...KC is close to home, what's it pay?
Got some great work done today, guys. Fuel pressure issue is resolved, got it down to 58psi where i've needed it.
The car is idling with the TPS disconnected from the TB but still plugged in reading 0% throttle. The car is learning finally. IAC counts got down to 153 and still dropping, but slowly.
I got the front end semi-aligned.
All that's left is do a final bolt inspection underneath and it's ready to hit the pavement! i'm finally getting excited about the car again.

got a little more done today, but not as much as i'd liked. I got the oil changed, adjusted a few things, tightened some bolts, etc...nothing MAJOR happened, but i DID take a few more pictures, including some of my new coil brackets that are almost done

They'll be mounted under the cowl...in fact they already were. I'm just making new brackets that are welded instead of screwed together. Wires are already in there ready to go.

Yeah wires are MSD universal wires you cut to length and crimp the ends on. I just split the loom open and pulled the harness out a bit. I'll definately have pics.

I like the coil brackets. Deffinately makes things look clean. Only thing that sucks about havin a build this nice is having to connect the harnes back to it and havin all those wires everywhere

i'm going to try to clean it up and hide/tuck some stuff. i've also got my old A/C pump harness and my MAF connector to deal with. I have a strong moral stance against cutting OEM wiring harnesses and can't make myself snip them off.

little bit of both
....and on that note, i decided to sell my intake last night, and it sold almost instantly, and i'll be replacing it with a Mamo-ported 102mm. i can't get the IAC counts down enough for the car to learn how to idle, at least not by any easy/practical means, so i'm going bigger on the intake. i don't want to drill out the TB hole so it's going to just be gone. i figure a 10mm increase in the inlet diameter will help out A LOT, maybe even be enough to where i don't need a hole or an enlarged hole in the TB...we'll see in a couple weeks.

Coil brackets are pretty much done. i'm going to wait for the new intake to show up before i finish them in case they need tweaking for clearance.
Shifter ball is wired up to the linelock and the interior is pretty well put back together. i think i may have a switch panel made for my ashtray, i'm not so sure how much i like mine the way it is. it's ok, i just want something with a nicer touch to it...

Man this is an awesome build! People might think you're crazy for blasting that kind of cash, so be sure to tell them that you're total investment is still less than half a new vette, lol... and it's nastier.
So am I the only one that witnessed the 454 sucking the life right out of the drop-light in the video? That bitch was just sitting there all lit up until that last rev. You killed it man!
Sweet ride, can't wait for more vids.
Did you already buy your new intake? If not let me see if I can find something I dug up on the net that would be nasty...
