I just went through all 53 pages and wow this car is a beast!! Very nice!! I wish I would've at least checked out power tour when it passed by through here just to see your car any updates?

The car is on jackstands again. There's an issue with the clutch/slave or possibly the transmission. I haven't had time to really address the issue because I've been building a turbo kit for a friends '67 Camaro and helping with the tuning. I plan on having my rear end powdercoated and getting new shocks & springs while the tranny is out.

Good luck with it. I have been chasing the cause for my clutches in ability to keep peddle after a ls7 clutch install with all new on my som ss.

probably need a new master cylinder, or at least do the drill mod. i don't know anything about your car, but that's a good place to start. FWIW, even if it isn't your problem, you should look into the Tick adjustable master cylinder, it's badass and worth every penny

All parts are new. Literally complete new clutch system master slave pilot throw out and speed bleeder .Leaking at the bell housing so it goes to NC tomorrow to be fixed.

fitting on the slave? i've seen a few of those strip out, i guess they're pretty easy to ruin. i've never done it, but i've seen a few and fixed them for people. they must think you need retard gorilla strength to tighten them up.

For the record, when you say "leaking at the bell housing" you mean brake/clutch fluid, not engine oil, right?

Right. Im hoping all it is....is the speed bleeder . GM master tech installed it. 500 miles later lost pedal bled it and got pedal back for 50 miles before emptied and lost pedal . I drove the car back from Cali 2 months ago when I bought it and then with the clutch install have driven it 8 days lol. I'll keep you posted on the . I have another new slave to put on so we'll . All parts were new GM parts. Maybe one day I'll get the adjustable master.

Still the issue from the dream cruise? Dang man.

I finally got mine on the road. but last year clutch issues was what kept me off the roads.

Ended up being the slave on mine.not where the speed bleeder was but it was leaking out the front.

Finally got the clutch out today


The first disc had lost the rivet heads that secure it to its hub, so it was just floating on the input shaft during shifts or at idle with the clutch pedal pressed:




The plate between the first and second disc had some funky new hot spots that weren't there in June when i last had it apart:



You can also see that the rivets on the 2nd disc were on the verge of shearing off:



The $2500 pile of scrap metal, you can see the hub is completely detached from the first disc here:



What's funny is i was actually relieved to see all this damage. I was regretting my costly decision to bring the car home on a Uhaul from Detroit, espeically after turning down all the generous offers from people saying i could use their shops and tools to fix the car and continue on the Power Tour. If i had taken it apart and found all this, i may have left it in Detroit

I can't read the dial indicator and turn the engine at the same time, so i need a buddy to help finish checking the runout on the bellhousing:

because im about to get a twin for my lsx 454 as well and i dont want that one it looks like lol

That is a TRIPLE disc from Textralia.

Call Tick Performance. Tell them you want a Monster twin. I literally just ordered the stage 2 twin before i posted those pics.

I just have to say - I love your car! I know that you have had some problems but I'm sure you anticipated a few with a build like this. I just wish I had the know how and funds to do this.... MAD SKILLS MAN!!!

What made you get a triple disk? Twin disk would have been plenty. McLeod RXT here no issues whatsoever. Extremely well built clutch.
