Painted my Intake, Valve Covers and Coils
#23
I didn't repaint the brackets as I didn't feel like moving all the connectors around, and the brackets still look great anyway.
The valve covers I cleaned immensely, then grabbed some sandpaper and scuffed everything up. I then grabbed lighter grit (I don't recall what grit it is, very very fine and soft though) and I smoothed out the covers and coils completely, to the point that I ran my finger over them and I would feel nothing. Took like 15 minutes. Like my dad always told me.. If you can feel it, you'll see it
For the paint, I used Duplicolor Engine Enamel "Iron," Standard Duplicolor GM bright red, Duplicolor Filler Primer, Adhesion Promoter, and Standard Line "Clear Top Coat"

To the OP something went seriously wrong with your coil packs. Mine did that the first time around b/c the paint I got was just a bad can. I had to put 2 more coats of a different paint over them to fix it. I originally used the Duplicolor engine enamel first & covered it up with the brake caliper ceramic paint. Looks 100000X better & is a better shade of red also.

Remove the brackets from the valve covers. Then unplug every connector plug on the bracket connected to the packs. Remove the 2 bolts per pack holding it to the bracket & your done.

LOL, sitting on my desk with the stock TCS switch epoxied to it solid finally. I got tied up in building a short block instead of re-buying my nitrous kit, LOL.
I plan on jumpin back on my interior to finish it up after we get moved in to our new place & I have a garage to work in, it's too damn cold outside right now, LOL.

Torchd, just like everyone else said, there's a handful of bolts holding the bracket onto the valve covers. There's one plug in the middle of each coil bracket, unplug those. Then grab a ratchet and take all the bracket bolts out. Once you have them out, each coil has 2 bolts in them, take all those out. Then just pull the plug out of each of them. At that point, the coils will be completely seperate from the bracket. The bracket's going to have a lot of wiring around it though, so it might be a pain to cover up. And yeah it's like 10 degrees here lol.
By the way I have yet to think about the killswitch
Thanks for the compliments again guys
