I have the first version. I bought it used off a wrecked mecham. It had some spiderwebbing in it on one side cuz the car that got hit was on the front fender. My paint guy was able to get it worked out tho. The fitment is fine on mine. I have some pics in my gallery of my car if ya wanna see what the first version looks like.

I've seen one of those in person. The car looked bad ***. Hood looked like it cam on the car from the factory. It was a black car. Not sure how much body work went into making it look that way.

I originally bought a Mecham hood when i had my paint and body work done. I was extremely disappointed in the quality and fit of it, my body guy didn't even want to touch it cause of all the work it was going to take to make it nice. It wasn't even the fitment issue so much as it was the gaps around the front bumper cover. I called Mecham about it, he argued with me saying they are ready for paint out of the box (not with gaps like that). Anyway long story short, he would only refunded me 80% of my $900 that i payed for the hood, plus i was out the shipping both ways . Needless to say I am not much of a Mecham fan anymore. Now not to say that you can't get a good one, but like i said those gaps are just pretty bad
I knew it would be hit or miss going on...so be prepared one way or the other...

Mine probably has 20 hours of prep and rework on it, the quality direct from Mecham kinda sucks. Fits pretty well.
Here's a walk-around that gets some good shots of it:

Wow! Thread back from the dead lol.. May as well ***** out some more pics of my V1 mecham
And one of my all time favorite views taken.. Even tho you cant see the heat extractors, I think this pic really accents the meanness of the hood. I kinda wish my ex wasnt in the pic but thats another story..
^^sorry for the giant pic
The V1 is definitely different from the V2, but I still can't decide which version I like better. I don't think you can go wrong with either!
