Rotor Painting
Rotor Painting I painted (black) my center section of the rotors and that came out so awesome I made a foam template and painted the cooling fins between the rotor sides.
I was really impressed with how nice they look. It should improve the appearance of the wheel as you will no longer see rusted sections of rotor while looking thru the wheel.

I had mine PCed and then the braking surface turned....that way it got into the slotts and holes as well. It wasnt bad expensive either...$75 I think for the PCing and a buddy turned them for free.

Here are the pictures Heading to the garage right now to due the brake overhaul. Brand new Calipers for the front(I painted them too), Hawk pads and stainless lines from Strano.

I included a picture of the foam to cover the rotor while painting the area between the 2 surfaces and the cardboard templates I used to cover the rotor surface while painting. I used Black caliper paint. I also used a 2 " angled air grinder with those brillo like disks to remove all of the old grey paint and rust prior to painting.

I did the same with mine although I didn't paint around the outside like you did. IMO they are a huge improvement apperance wise. You don't notice with them painted where when they are rusty they stand out and take away from your wheels. Btw if its uneven or there is a little overspray where the pad meets the rotor, it will take it off and make for a nice circle. Here's a couple pics of what they look(ed) (since I have the ZR1's on now) on my SS:
UHG! i just updraded all my brakes i didnt think of this! Dangit. I wonder if its worth pulling it all back off to do........nope! lol Or you know what? I guess i could do it by just taking off the rims and generously masking! Yea i think ill do it thanks!

Well here the verdict The cap on the paint can shows a much deeper blue. It actually matched the car color. So, instead I got kind of a ricer/ford blue. It's a little darker than the camera shows. I probably would have gone black if I did it all over.
