Hey..man don't worry about what other people think. Put what YOU want on the car. I have a SS and a WS6..both real! I could care less if someone puts a SS hood,spoiler, and emblems on a Z28...so what! These cars cars for christs sake! Whats the difference if I paid 30k for a "real" SS and someone doing a COMPLETE upgrade from his Z28 to a SS. I mean the total job: appearance, suspension and power upgrades. As long as they are not telling people its a "real" SS and/or trying to get more money on a sale because the car is an "SS", that is cheating and lying. I also have a 1998 Z28 that down the road I may decide to turn it into a SS "REPLICA" and I don't care what anyone else has to say about it.
actually, i have ss and z/28 emblems on my car...kind of a custom touch...its originally a z28, but i call it the ssz28 ...lol, i have a ss hood, rs spoiler, rs ground effects, and grand sport rims(look like ss rims...only...bigger/better). the only thing that would be gay is if you lied about it when selling it, but otherwise, who cares what people think, 90% of the z/28 and ss first gen camaros are original 6 cylinder cars but no one seems to give them any trouble...as long as its more or less the same thing(not a 6 cyl car), who cares, on the track, u cant tell a difference between a z and ss, so why get all angry if someone badges it the way they like...do what YOU like, dont worry what people think, its YOUR car!!

Re: Would adding a SS hood and wing on a Z28 make me a poser? When I put my WS6 wheels on my car I didn't really care for the WS6 emblems on the center caps. I would have liked to have some chrome ones with a red bird sticker.... but I can't find any.
GO FOR IT!!!! But like said above..... Don't claim its an SS when it isn't..... there is a guy in town with a V6 mustang with a Cobra R hood with a "supercharged" sticker on it.... followed by several more all over the car.

Re: Would adding a SS hood and wing on a Z28 make me a poser? No. It wouldn't make you a poser. That's ridiculous. I have a Z28 with an SS spoiler, SS wheels and an Ultra Z hood. Looks SS ish, but it's not. Nothing against original SS's, but I think it looks even meaner than an SS. Besides, an SS is a Z28 on steroids

Re: Would adding a SS hood and wing on a Z28 make me a poser? Nice! I think I will like the SS hood and RS wing combination. I have started a trend where I live and everyone (5 so far) is getting the SS hood on Z28s and V6s. This may start another.
