alright.. well after looking at mine on the pics, and how much injustice it does the panel... i may just like the CF...

but, anyways here is mine.. sorry no switches in it yet, have not made up my mind on how i want them set in there, or what style switches..

the thing where the switch in to right use to be where my cig lighter went..
sorry so shitty.. im no pic taker..

i will be replacing those screws with black ones.. thats just what i had ATM..

It's a start, guys. Good job on the M6 switchplate. I still need to finish mine up. School and a baby are holding me down right now. Here's my final product of the cubbyhole plate:

is that metal?

SIDE NOTE---------------------------

i was actually thinking of popping the plastic out of where it has the "P R N D 2 1" and i was going to put some ABS plastic in there and then put some switches in there.. anyone ever seen this done? or have an opinion to what it would look like..

it would be original i believe... and i never use my P R N D things anyways, i always know what gear i am in.. also i think it will be easier to flip nitrous on at WOT like that..

It's not metal, but I can make these from stainless steel if the need arises.

with mine i made it so you'd have to take the cig lighter out then put it back in once the plate is in place. I think it looks alot cleaner this way.

next on the list is my radio surround and a block off plate for my centre vents where im going to mount 4 gauges.

im going to take my radio out, and i think relocate my HVAC, or just take it out completely...

on either the top or bottom im going to do gauges and then on the opposite will be some sort or lettering or decal..

im not sure how many switches to put on it.. trying to decide between 4 or 6.

but what im gonna do is have one of my friends print me off a vinyl that says Camaro SS, in the camaro font in red and put it across the bottom of my cubby hole cover.

probably make it about 3/8" tall and have it run all across the bottom.

yea i think what im gonna do is move all my nitrous switches to the panel in the ashtray, then just run 4 on my cubby cover for fuel pump 1, fuel pump 2, line lock and the 2step.

then for the ashtray i can run my main arm, purge, timing retard, and bottle heater.

im still wondering about this..

the part that i circled.... what do you guys think it would look like if you replaced it with a piece of ABS plastic?

you could either do switches going down it... probably could fit 4-5 pretty easily..

OR

i thought this tonight.. going down like this..

you could put a decal on it... of course for the camaro you could do..

R

or whatever you wanted... i think it would clean the interior up a little bit...

input/suggestions?

I had a few minutes free this afternoon, and quickly drew up/cut a test part to see what you thought.

There's not as much room there as I thought. The word "heater" was cut off by the OEM panel on the bottom switch hole. I'd need to re-space the switches closer together, but there still isn't room for much more.

The "pontiac" or "camaro" text would be easy to do, but I just did this test piece quickly so you could see your idea in reality. Sorry about the busted up panel, but it's all I had in the shop.
