OR
Are you talking about the cowl stripes? If so they're flat black.

Yes the window was inspired by the new ZR1.

Thank you sir.

They were painted PXR to match my paint.
* sanded down
* etching primer
* base coat
* clear coat

I had them painted when I first bought them at the of '03 (new)...but they were painted regular black to match my old paint code.
they look very good so you havent had any discoloration or peeling problems?
im thinking of maybe getting mine painted

Nope, it's all about prepping them right...etching primer is a must...

And of course, don't let morons take off/put on your wheels when you get new tires/fix a flat/balance & rotate (if appl) and such.

what grit did you sand them down with? i'd like to paint my 10 spokes but haven't worked up the courage yet. do i have to sand down to the bare metal or just scuff them up?

In your case you could just sand them with 800 (400 on deeper scratches), spray adhesion promoter, and then your paint - base/clear or rattle can.

You could sand between base and clear to get a smoother looking finish.

The adhesion promoter is like a clear primer, you could spray a filler primer to cover any scratches and sand that, then spray base - sand, then clear.
