Re: ZR1 17x11's.. I have a question..
I was going to get some on a gp he had a while back. But then he told me it was a 56mm offset.I wanted the 50mm grandsport offset so they wouldn't still out past the fender lip.The 56mm offset sticks out more.
I'm on a waiting list for AFS's silver 17x11's <img border="0" alt="[whiner]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" />
good luck
John

I met someone with them this past weekend, they really told me all you need to know.
Shave down the bump stops
--- and ---
Get 17x11 GRAND SPORT OFFSET rims.... aside from that, slap em on and they'll look awesome. They stick out a little but it isn't anything to worry about, you can hardly even notice if you ask me.

Re: ZR1 17x11's.. I have a question..
Not much heavier, if you compare the price to the weight your not going to want the fiske.
They're racing rims as well, they are not as durable as the stock rims. I would stick with the stock zr1's for street use.
If you auto-x or drag thats another story.

Re: ZR1 17x11's.. I have a question..
All you need to do is ask one simple question to the person selling you the rims:
do you sell 17x11 inch zr1 rims with the GRANDSPORT offset?
That's it, thats all you need to know and ask. They'll fit on your car perfect. What is the off spacing for those rims you may ask? I don't know, but a 5 minute search on yahoo.com or google.com would yeild an answer.

You must get the 50 mm offset.
The actual ZR-1 offset is 36 mm, and will stick out of the wheel well.
The 50 mm requires some inner wheel well mod, nothing a 5 lb. sledge can't fix.
The 56 mm, would be even further into the wheel well and require MORE inner wheel well mods.
To be honest I have only heard about the 36 mm and 50 mm offest 5 spoke ZR-1 wheels.

Re: ZR1 17x11's.. I have a question..
I have the 50mm offset 17x11's with a 315/35-17 Nitto DR and they fit with absolutely NO modifications. They tuck under the fenderwell really nice. I haven't shaved my bump stops yet because the only time they interfere is when you let the rearend completely droop. The only way the rear will droop that far on the road is by doing a dukes of Hazzard jump.
My car may be different than a stock car... I have a Moser 12-bolt and the SLP jounce spacers/bump stops.
I got my 17x11's from Michigan Custom Auto for $275 each. They are cheaper than AFS and others, but the quality is still acceptable. If you're a real "quality freak" then maybe you should pass on the MCA's. You can't really see any difference between the MCA's and my stock chrome SS/ZR1's unles you look REALLY close.
One other thing about AFS's that I didn't like, is that the center hub is REALLY deeply inset compared to the 9.5's. The MCA wheels have a center dish that's the same as the 9.5's and a wider outer lip...about 1-3/4" compared to 1" on the fronts. Some people may like the AFS look better, though....one of those opinion things. Just something to be aware of.

Vince
Sent you an email response.
Yes my wheels are chrome.
The dyno was done with 4.11's in a Moser 12-bolt.
I'll try to find the pics I took of the 17x11's...if I can't I'll take a few more.
Scott.
