Wetsand with 1500 grit then polish them. I've messed up so many times. It wasn't the VHT it was the cheap *** clear from walmart that kept turning white lol.

lol...the great thing about paint is.....even if you mess up...you can sand it down and start over. As far as polish goes......well there are so many options its rediculous...just make sure its polish and not wax....Im sure if you ask some of the detailing pros they can tell you particular part numbers...because each polish cuts at different rates.....its actually rather complicated...I am gonna get scolded but i actually used New Finish....the once a year car polish and an orbital and it worked just fine.

You must have some pretty crappy hardware stores around you. Try an automotive paint supply store. Usually I just get it from auto zone in the paint & body section.

Use some rubbing compound to bring back the shine and cover the scratches caused by sanding. This could take 3-4 coats of rubbing compound, after that just use some kind of polish on it and your done!

Look in the automotive section at WalMart...not the hardware or paint section. They have it.

Just finished sanding off the Niteshades paint off my front turn signals. I wet sanded mine, started off with 400-600-800-1000-1500-2000 and then polish. Most will say that it isn't necessary to go through that many steps. But I can't help it, the result is just amazing afterwards.

Here's a before of it when I first painted it:

And here's an after picture:

Technically the "after" picture is the before picture. I sanded off the ridges, polished it, and then painted it. But after I sanded the paint off it looks just like it did before. It only takes about a half hour for each light with the process I go by.
