Default Exterior LEDs?

Anyone know of a place to get LED replacements for our exterior lights, now that LED Vault is "gone"?

Can I get a copy of that PM as well? As well as the type 194 bulb I need for the side marker?

Thanks!

I've read most people say red. I'm doing an LED conversion and doing everything in white flat top LED's. My thought behind it is all the stock bulbs are white, putting white LED's behind the lens will let the color that's show, show.

Oh, and I get all my LED's from ebay. Dirt cheap on there...

This guy is right. Red LEDs behind the red lens would not let much light through. You need white.

PMs sent to all who asked.

Their site says "LED VAULT IS CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING ORDERS", and I think I heard somewhere that some people didn't receive orders they placed...

i would still run a red led in the places that have red lenses. we white white leds into my buddy's vw and they came out a orange-red. then switched them out to a red led and now its a nice deep red for his tail lights.

In theory....
Lenses are designed to block all light except for that color. A Red lens only allows Red light though. So if you put a Red LED behind a Red lens, most of its light should make it through. If you put a White LED behind a Red lens, much of its light will be blocked (only the Red portion of its emitted light spectrum will make it through the lens). Most people go with Red-Orange (as opposed to the standard Red which is more of a Blood-Red) since it more closely matches most automotive tail lights.

Wrong...

Red bulbs behind the red lens will let ALOT more light through than a white bulb.. Its simple color theory. Red light shining through a red object will get alot better output.. The white light shining through a red object will get reflected..

I definitely had an issue with them. I ordered some DRL towers that I never received and it took forever to get ahold of the guy. To his credit, he apologized and issued me a refund right away once I got him, but that took a few WEEKS.

Thanks
