Default Need true show quality powder coated parts? Wet sanded/buffed powder now offered, pics

I had a Harley guy bring me parts this week that he said he needed show quality black, like beyond what I normally do which is show quality work to the majority of folks lol. Powder that is highly reflective and deep can be subject to the same application issues as paint when put over larger surface areas in terms of developing a tiny bit of orange peel. I decided to find a way to get that out to create a truly perfect surface for when the part is being inspected and judged up close and personal.

I spent 2 full work days( I do this full time), experimenting with wet sanding and buffing out powder. It is NOT the same process as paint I can tell you that lol. Powder is made of resin and is much harder than paint, but tonite I finally got results up to my standards. Very time consuming but pleasing to see the results.

I was able to clearly see the hairs of my beard from 12" away lol. I'm trying to break more and more into the local bike market, this should give me a good start when this guy takes his Harley to shows all summer.

This is a super durable wet black powder, there is NO clearcoat on these parts. I'd be glad to do this for folks on here who want this kind of finish, at additional cost of course

I am in a suburb of Chicago about 20 minutes outside the city. I'm sure the owner of the Harley will get me some pictures, he's pretty excited to get the bike back together once I finish all this stuff.

can you do wheels with a polished lip?

oh and as a side note, if the Wheel has curb rash... is there a way that you refinish it and then powdercoat it or is the curb rash gonna still be there?

very nice parts

I'd say around 50% above normal pricing or so. So a $50 part would be like $75 instead on average.

very nice parts
I can fix curb rash, here's a pic of a GTI rim that was rashed pretty hard on the lip that I fixed and coated

I mean it can't be so bad that the lip is totally mangled to heck but the normal curb check damage is no problem, I've got some tricks there

If the wheels have a polished lip, I can certainly mask them and leave them polished, etc. If they are not polished I can polish them as well. Time consuming to do that kind of thing so I have to charge accordingly but I can do it.
