This one looks very distorted to me in the shape. However we could make it in the same shape as the LOTB badges, or the Blackbird badge. Might be a good looking badge.

Nick,

I know we sent you some of the tape with those, but how did you end up attaching them? Just curious.

well i was worried about the tape working with the heat of the exhaust so i ended up using a clear high-temp silicone adhesive good up to like 500 degrees or so...i put some around the whole lip then placed the s/s lips on top, once i got there where i wanted them i put some weight on top of em (had the tips off the car when i did it to make it easier)...once that silicone dried i put more around the edges (the s/s lips were made slightly larger that the previous tips to make sure they would cover them all the way)...i used my finger to smooth the silicone in the corner of the s/s lips and the aluminum lips so that it wouldnt show when you looked at em on the car but would fill any gaps and hold em on better...so far so good...they're on there good and the heat hasnt been an issue yet...

now im not all that knowledgeable about this stuff but my theory makes sense...your engine going to about 200*F, right? well the exhaust shouldnt get hotter than that since the engine is where the heat is generated, right? so im thinkin everything else should get slightly cooler the further away from the engine the exhaust gets...

Very nice. It's very similar to what I have right now. I had a local pinstriper paint mine. Just ordered a ZR1 badge tonight. can't wait to get it.

thats how how the engine itself gets, because its metal and is water cooled. the exhaust gasses get waaaay hotter than that, but still if youre using 500* silicone you shouldnt run into any issues

very cool idea btw. not to mention nice execution.

I sent an e-mail to see if you can do a custom 30th T/A Emblem to r.neace. I am not sure all the text I want will fit. It would be the ZR1 blue emblem.
