i like the way you think man. i've been incorporating old school into my car since i got it. rocking the 69 Z emblems, torq thrust wheels, going for a sunoco this week, and i was looking at doing a high rise intake with an accufab similar to yours. forward thinkers often get ridiculed, but they are the innovators. I'm curious as to how this will tun out for you. I really want to put a hurst quarter stick in my car (auto), but haven't gotten that ambitious.

i thought about doing this expect having a custom counsel made where it ended after the shifter and i could put some gauges where the TCS and cup holder are, kinda like the new camaro... i absolutely hate our centers, they look cheaper than a McDonalds happy meal toy.

Not sure I could do without the console on my TA. I mean, you would lose 6 beer holders!

If it was me I would just build a lightly made fiberglass tunnel to run over the top of the harness and hide the boxes better. Round it so it matches the turn of the driveline tunnel then carpet it over. it would have to be well mathematically correct to make it thin enough to not be above the shifter level to block the look.

It can be done. If I have a M6 i would do this. A4's would look kinda gay IMO.

i think its a sick idea and i want to see it done. i think it would feel roomier on either side with no console.

It's funny that I run across this, I've been having the same thought for my car. Drop some weight off and clean the interior up a little bit. Anyone have better pictures than the ones posted earlier? I'm trying to envision mine without the console...
