I got the valence from the group purchase on here awhile back. It's great quality, better than the SLP I think. I'll have pictures of mine on my car soon, it's getting painted and such as I type.

They use regular paint on it but it must be treated with a flex additive

Is it true that the first batch of valences sold were a inch to long on the edges?? That's what I was reading.

I got two of the first batch since I provided my original slp valance for the manufacturer to work with. They fit great. They aren't difficult to install at all. I did mine in about 5 minutes after I claybarred and applied the tape to the valance. I could always install it if u want to take the 2 hour drive.

Thanks for the help, but that's a long drive. Now, do you think I should install the valence on my bumper now before I paint it so it can conform to my bumper, then paint it after? I just don't want the paint to crack.

i had mine painted first then i installed in it about 40*F weather and I had no problems except the tape wouldnt stick that well so i broke out the heat gun to warm things up and it all worked out just fine as you can see from the pics i posted in the other thread

You shouldn't have to if the shop/person that's painting it knows what they're doing.

I'd just do a quick mock up and make sure that the valance lines up correctly before you have it painted. It's just like having a bumper painted, it needs to have some flex additive in the paint so that you don't get spider cracks.

The search isn't that bad. Just remember to put " " around the word or phrase your searching. I always find what I'm looking for...

Mine is an SLP Valance.. But i am sure 6litre's is pretty close. Like the others, i too mine to the dealership, had them prep/paint it, install it. Cost me around $150.00 if memory serves me. Getting ready to have it "Blended" to the rear bumper and repainted once the weather clears up. Good luck.

so you to have the valence blended to your bumper? i thought you just used a few screws and some double sided tape to hold it up there and that was all.
