Paging Mark IXZD 150 Hey Mark,
Two things..
1. Thanks for the excelent work on the plaques through Afterthoughts.. I installed the dash one and it looks VERY <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> - now i just need to figure out where to put the "under the hood one".. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
2. Sorry to hear about the situation over at the SLP site.. Your always welcome here <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> -- I wonder if Dave would ban me for posting a pic of my plaque (with ZERO reference on where to get one).. ??? It might be fun to find out.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Oh, The number for the Licensing company for GM is 248-680-9150. A friend of mine talked with a Helen Chang there.. i might be worth it to see about getting a license to make these.. i see so many possibilities for many different cars including vettes and mustangs.. Drop me an email if you want to discuss offline.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Paging Mark IXZD 150 Damn Steve I can't believe they banned you! If you noticed it seemed to of crashed the whole SS forum on the SLP site. SLP needs to become a little more tolerant to the F-body owners. Especially since the demise of the F-body's.

I seem to be banned or something but I didn't post anything! The only thing I posted about recently were some LCA relocation brackets to help someone out with a traction issue. What's going on? I was following his rules. I can't control what other people post. He's being irrational about it and ruined a lot of good posts in the process of overreacting to something, that's for sure.

Actually it was someone else that was banned.. in Dave attempt to purge history of this person he f'd up the whole board and lost all the posts.. a good example of "the baby out with the bath water".. I can understand their desire to protect their product line but the reason we dont have numbered dash plaques (like we USE to have) is that SLP didnt feel it was worth their time to make them.. this is the basic reason we dont have many of the items that the owners crave.. because its not worth SLP's time to make these items.. Remember the engine plate idea from SLP??? well im sure i will be old and grey by the time we see it in production.. This is why from a "philosophical" standpoint i dont see why they get bent about products they will NEVER produce..

Steve is right. It's not as if they were going to make custom dashplates. The only reason they're upset is because they didn't think of it or they're not getting any money out of it. It's not as if the dashplates are being pumped out of a factory in Taiwan. Only a small handfull of enthusiasts will be able to get them.
It's kinda fitting that his tantrum caused him to trash the board. Good riddens SLP.

Id at least ask Dave for a copy of the offending post.. out of curiosity at least <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> -- I sent Andy info on the licensing dept.. get permission to use the SS, Z28 and Camaro logos and go to town.. You could litterally sell thousands of these with a little effort <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> -- not to mention if you made them for Vettes and Stangs.. what modder WOULDNT want one.. plus i can think of many other items that SLP is way to busy (ie lazy) to make..

If SLP was going to make caliper decals it would take them 6 months of R&D then they would charge $50 for them (look at the bellows)..

I got a call from him about 3 weeks after I talked to Helen. I just haven't had the time to call him back. As far as waiting for SLP to get things done, this is what I did after getting tired of waiting:

Oh, When you email the equity management place they email you a form.. you fill it out and send it back and they foward the form to the place in San Diego.. Rob, where was Dan located?? just curious..
Dave is too proud to admit that what he did was unfair.. He also keeps being all cryptic and not plainly saying that you were banned because SOMEONE ELSE posted a thread that broke the rules.. Im thinkin of updating my sig to say "FRIEND OF UNFAIRLY BANNED MARK IXZD 150" LOL
I think its a power thing.. I also think that Dave cares more about this issue than GM legal does.. lol

I had it in my hand, I walked to get a glass of water, then I said "Where is the dash plate?" Only 25 seconds transpired from when I left the car to the fridge, and I lost a $40 factory SS plate! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
