After Repainting how long should I wait before waxing or Zaino?

My 91 RS should be out of the body shop tomarrow. The car went in a total beater and is coming out looking like it did new. I want to protect the new finish and keep the appear up on my old 3rd Gen.

How long to wait before waxing or Zaino?

Any tips appreciated.

If they used clear coat, it will be soft for 60-90 days. Don't wax for about 90 days. Clarify this with the shop. That is what I have been told and I used to own a auto detailing company.

Got the RS back today! I'm amazed at how good it looks, except for the rims, looks like a new car again!

I follow what your saying. I asked the body shop and car is base coat (3 coats) clear coat (3 coats). They used PPG paint. They said it should be ok to wax since this is the newer chemistry paints that set up quicker.

I think I'll still wait to be extra safe.
