So you're against the ZoopSeal line??? I just applied it to the SP550s I got and didn't notice any real fine scratches...but haven't had them in direct sunlight (which I know will produce some)....

Do you recommend any sealants for wheels like CCW's or just constant polishing?

I'll have to look into the pre-wash concentrate you mentioned here also.
Do I even want to know how much the paint measurement tool costs?
We'll make a point to include a sample of the citrus pre-wash for you to try out.

I paid about $400 for the meter 18 months ago. The company is always having specials on this and other meters. This one does not measure on plastic and fiberglass panels.

I can't make that claim after using it as a "first timer" for several minutes. I felt the ZS sealant between my fingers before applying it. It felt like a coarse abrasive similar to a heavy rubbing compound for paint use. Didn't know if this was to be expected but I expected it to be much finer in its consistency. Hopefully someone with more experience using it can shed more more light on it.

After using the plastic cleaner/polish for a short time before dark, I would have used the paint sealant on the wheels too.

I will be doing some further testing on these aluminum lipped with anodized center Kinesis wheels for their effects.

This is the product line that I mentioned on the phone Steve: http://www.speedymetalpolish.com/products.html

It looks like they've expanded lately to inlcude some paint sealants, detail sprays, etc., but their roots were metal polishes and preps.

Wheel care is probably one of the more complex parts of detailing IMO. You really have to do a little research on the finish and sometimes just a trial and error process to find what product works best.

Thanks for the heads up.

Your "FLEX Foursome" Kit will be shipping out today with the sample of the citrus pre-wash concentrate.

The key to using the PC is having patience and understanding the results when using it on any car. Since it a very safe and user friendly machine, it will take longer to get results than using a FLEX buffer or high speed rotary. We have found that the Menzerna Super Intensive Polish is very effective removing the deeper circular lines and scratches on the f-body clear coats.
I been wanting to try out the Menzerna stuff but I still got some Tropi Care polish I need to finish

What would you recommend for a Clay Bar ?

You can use the TC3 polish after the Menzerna. If your satified with the paint condition after the Menzerna, apply the TC3 polish. Get ready for a deep shine, especially noticeable on dark colors like the NBM. Mine is NBM and I did the Menzerna SIP, swirl cutter, polish and wax. All I heard was: "Is that a new paint job", "Is that the new flip color paint". This is a picture of a square I taped off on the hood. It shows the results of the SIP and the Flex before any swirl cutter or polish. It may be a little hard to see. I had not seen the color that deep since it was new. If your thinking about the Flex, wait no more. I was sold in 5 minutes.

Hello LS1Tech!
Sorry it took me so long to post here. My original activation e-mail got lost in cyber space.
Thanks for all of the complements on our 2006 Spice Red Metallic (SRM) GTO. She is a work in progress. My goal was to customize the car, but in a way as if it could have come from the factory. JamesBiz underhood jewelry. Custom SRM painted fuel rail covers. BMR SRM Strut brace. CCW 505A custom to accept the factory center cap. Pedders Serious Street. Kooks SS headers. SCSS gage pod. etc. etc. Not to mention the awesome detail that Tropi-Care Steve just did. He took the car to a whole new level!

Here are some more picture links for you to view.

^^^^ We started modifing her straight out of the box in March of 2007. Headers, dyno-tune, etc. when she had just 750 miles on her. Pedders next, and the list goes on. She now has 6,800 miles on her. The wife & I just love the car, we plan to keep her in the family.
