You guys should really stop teasing them over there.

The licensing process has begun so I don't know what the big deal is. Just maybe stop 'poking Dave through the fence' until everything is all wrapped up. Obviously SLP isn't interested in anything they don't have their hand in, so no need to share the cool stuff over there anyway.

Nine Ball, I agree but would like to make a point.

I have a lot of SLP parts on my car. Not only did I load it up when I ordered it, but since then I've bought a hell of a lot of parts from them including a very recent purchase of a new catback system, despite my irritations with Dave.

My question is why did Dave make this issue personal? I was following his rules. The last thing I ever wanted is enemies. He's gone out of his way to threaten "legal" action, he banned me from a forum that I was a regular contributor to, he went out of his way to delete almost 2000 posts I had made over the last couple years in an attempt to censor me from the forum, and in all of that never made one attempt to discuss any of it with me - EVER. Where will it end?

I didn't attack him or SLP. All I did was offer some of my ideas for appearance mods to others, not only to share the ideas because they were cool, but yes, to help pay for this expensive hobby of mine. Hell, most of the time I was simply making something because someone asked me if I would because they couldn't find it anywhere else. I never spent any of the money on anything but car mods that I've bought from many forum sponsors INCLUDING SLP. This isn't as important as a kidney in a cooler, for crying out loud! Why has he gone out of his way to make me look like a bad guy? It's just a hobby.

The stuff will be licensed with GM. We're working on it. I didn't do it earlier because I thought it would be too hard and I didn't think I'd be doing this stuff very long either. I don't make headers, hoods or wheels so what's all the aggression about? I never once made anything with a Firehawk or SLP logo on it! I'm not an evil dude out for the destruction of SLP! I'm just a fellow Chevrolet enthusiast with an appetite for performance who just happens to own three GM vehicles in my household of two people.

Dave, lighten up! It's not the end of the world and believe it or not, I even forgive you for banning me. Your turn.

 

Dave will not debate you Mark Its not his style.
He censors and threatens people. Never once have I ever seen him let someone respond to one of his attacks. He just lets his suck ups beat up on the poster after they've been banned.

You gotta ask your self why S*P needs someone at his level moderating a message board that runs it self.
His time might be better spent on quality control.

My hood and spoiler were sub par sure it was my fault for buying it that way. I say I got caught up in the new car buyers fog. My hood has been painted twice and looks just OK. My wifes Astro is four year old and has far less swirl marks than my Camaro.
I posted that on Daves message board he gave me a time out, man was I pissed. I then responded in a negative way and was banned. No big deal I really didn't need to post there in the first place.
Just reading the good posts is fine. He has now managed to stop most of the intresting post.
I'm just glad I found LS1 Tech.

The days of the new S*P Camaro and Firehawks are over its all going to be after market from now on. Dave needs to get with the program.

I'll lighten up, whereas I too love my SLP products to include the SS. I just have the same view as the others, in that they are getting awefully carried away on some/many things and that there is so many "freaks" over there that think SLP is the only place to associate with <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" />

I'll go back to my more normal ways of lurking everywhere and acting like a good little f-body advocate <img border="0" alt="[angel]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_angel.gif" /> Besides all I want to do is enjoy my car and others with a buch of people who feel the same way.

Why even go on that message board and mess around? Not many people here go to the SLP site, and Dave has also redirected MANY members to this site instead. At one time, he even said that any further GPs would not be allowed on their site and that they should all be handled here in ours.

Well I don't spend any time on that site any more since they banned Mark and I always though it was a little candy a$$ anyways with it's big tech posts like (what did you name your car or what vanity plate should I get) but I do have and like alot of the parts SLP puts out.
