Default !Molding and Clear Markers on the Silver TA!

With the orange car 6hrs away at a lilhotrod's house I was bored to death so I decided to go ahead and take the side moldings off of my silver car. I know thats an easy enough mod usually but I had attempted to do it about a year ago and discovered the car had been recleared at some point and they had painted over the moldings. So rather than dealing with the paint line I just left the moldings on. Well I couldnt stand them anymore so I pulled them off and wet sanded the lines out. It took some time but it looks perfect now. I also got around to putting the clear marker lights in that I had bought from a fellow member sometime last year.

These pics were taken after a 6hr round trip to AL this weekend...so its not spotless! AND...I have a WS6 on the way for it...it should be here by the end of next week!!!

Looks good I plan to get the clear side markers pretty soon, Ive been debating on removing my mouldings but after sitting in my car one day only to watch someone open their door into it I have second guessed it.

You know the door and front fender aren't metal...so it wont get dings anyway. Besides I dont see how that little strip protected much at all to start with. I have taken them off everycar I own and it makes them look SOOOOO MUCH better!

I am not worried about the SOM car...we both know you don't know how to drive a 6spd or how to turn the NOS on. OH ****...yes you do!!!

they do but i dont have a link. never considered doing clears since I they would stand out more on bright red. im sure plenty of online sites, or maybe auto stores, have them though.

and yes, they do light up the right color.

Yeap, silver and white are really the only colors that pull of the clears well IMO. I will pick some of the lights up. I didnt even know they made them. Hell these bulbs have what look like little colored rubbers on them to make them the right color. Kind of tacky!!!

Silver is by far one of the better colors for either of those mods!

The car looks great. I'd definitely consider different bulbs.

And I'll be the first to say it: "Get new exhaust tips"

Looks nice man! I think silver looks the best with clear corners.

Will your SOM be at the car show in Athens on the 25th?

My SOM car is in Athens now!!! I am going up there tomorrow and will have it at the Bridgestreet Show this weekend in Huntsville. But yes, it will certainly be at the show on the 25th. Then I carry it to Summit Racing in ATL on the 30th to be on display on the turn table in side the store for a month!

BTW we have been watching for shows in the Opelika, Auburn area....if you hear of any please PM me! I think there was one in Alexander City Sat but we didnt know anything about it (we didnt get into town until 4 and saw cars leaving.)

It IS this Saturday and I think it will be a really big show. The Vets with Vettes is sponsoring it and they usually have good shows.
