My Car got a full detail
After owning my car since Oct 2007, I have been wanting to do a full detail my car. Not having the skills or knowledge I had a fellow member GoFast908Z take a crack at it.
All I can say is that I'm more than happy with the results and he did an excellent job. I was expecting a 70-80% removal of swirls. I'm happy to say that number is closer to 90-95%.
He even did a couple more passes than I paid for on my roof.
If you are reluctant about the price he may give you don't be. You will fall in love with your car all over again once he is done with it.
Seeing it now I have realized how dull and swirled my cars paint was.

"Here is Ryan's Z28 I detailed. It had very heavy swirls and a lot of random isolated deep scratches (RIDS), especially on the hood, roof, and spoiler which really needed wetsanding and heavy compounding. However, with just 2 stages of buffing, was able to get about 90% overall swirl removal. Could have gotten more out but Ryan just had me do 2 stages. I spend most of my time on black, red, and blue cars; so it was nice to give a white car a nice shine. Most of the white cars brought to me are just in for a basic detail (no paint correction). I was really happy with the amount of gloss I got out of white Pics don't do it justice really.
*note: some pics you can see 4-5 gray dots against the white paint...they are specs of dirt on the sensor in my camera. i'm getting it fixed this week though*
Process:
-Presoak with Foam Gun (with Dawn and Megs APC)
-Wheels with Megs APC 3:1 with Swissvax Wheel brush
-Clay with Megs Aggressive clay with Megs Last Touch as lube
-Presoak again (same mix)
Body:
-Menzerna SIP on Lake Country PFW
-Menzerna 106FA on Lake Country white 5.5"
Roof:
Menz SIP on LC PFW x2
Menz 106FA on LC white
Menz FPII on LC black
-Polishing followed by IPA wipedown x2 (remove any polishing oils)
-Zaino AIO
-Zaino Z2pro
-Zaino Z6
-Adams VRT on tires
-Mothers Chrome polish on exhaust tips
Interior:
-vacuumed
-wipedown with Megs Interior Detail spray and Megs APC 3:1
-Swissvax detail brush (crevices)
-Stoner's Invisible glass windows"

Future plans include: Sunoco hood [ even though everyone has one now ], SS Spoiler, Painted Calipers, and some black wheels [ I haven't decided which ones ].
I also want a better rear end and a built trans...
Baby steps lol
