Default I'm Back! :)

Well the work marathon is over so I can get back to helping Andy keep and eye on you guys

In celebration i did the following:

Ran top engine cleaner through (feels smoother now)
Changed oil
Cleaned K&N filter
Did the "Andy paint the headlights" mod
Added ANOTHER $30 in chrome bolts and such.. lol
Had my leaking pinion replaced I/W**

** the replaced the seal.. and the flange (yoke was scored).. but he overtightened the nut and it quickly fried the pinion bearing - However they were very nice.. said sorry and replaced EVERY seal and bearing in my rear end.. and the trany seal.. handled the car with great care, gave me a free rental, etc.. Never ONCE complained at my mods.. they did laugh when I asked the chances of getting a new clutch.. lol Oh and I ordered a BMR g-load brace and drive shaft loop..

So what did I miss??

Welcome back! (even though I'm still very new here)

I did see you havoc over at slp and Dave will never be the same again. Considering that his board is turning into another LS1.com, and more and more people are noticing it.

I shared the the one mod that you apparently didn't do yet... painting the T-bar to match the black top. So, what's the paint the headlight mod fellas???

Causing a padlock is nothing to be proud or.. THE HELL ITS NOT!!! lol

just kidding.. Besides its not the padlocks, its the mysterious disapearing threads.. that will NEVER happen here.. If Andy or I delete a thread we WILL post an explanation as to why.. If we lock it there will also be an explanation as the last post in it..

To do anything else would be insulting to our members..

Andy will soon post a detailed explanation of "the headlight painting mod" since he originated the idea

Oh, BTW.. the T-Bar painting mod is on my TO-DO list

How the heck did you do it???

I let the banning of Mark go a while ago (what good would pushing it do?) but I thought it silly about the deleting of a thread wishing him a happy bday.. I have nothing against Dave as a person.. but they could handle things a little better..

So lets put this behind us and move one to new apperance ideas

Since this is turning into a "pick on SLP thread" im going to lock it.. see how nice it is when you know the reason something happens

1)clean up the area with a degreaser
2)tape of the areas which you don't want painted
3)cover the rest of car (I used plastic, like visqueen sp?)
**very important you wouldn't want the "overspray" or airborn stuff to end up anywhere else**
4)spray a few coats of flat black (enough for coverage)
5)spray more coats of gloss clear (nice and thin)
6)allow to dry, stand back and smile

Mine didn't really turn out perfect but it's basically unseen or un-noticed by most, and helps the ugliness (unfinished look) blend in. I'm sure I'll enjoy it when/if we ever get decnt weather up here. (Pic.s in the sig)
