Default front grille cutout in camaro???

ok so ive been searching the last couple weeks and came up with nothing but fmic i would like to see if anyone has a pic of their front bumper cutout where the grille would be without a fmic also those who did cut it out how much of the foam behind the bumpercover did you take out i was planning on getting rid of the metal bumper suport ...i want to do this so i can get as much air as possible to the trans cooler any pics and info would be greatly appreciated

I searched but still on the fence about this one... Once it's cut, there is no going back! I really dont want rocks denting up my brand new radiator/trans cooler.

I've also been thinking of doing this, then I saw it in the "Diesel Camaro" thread. I've got the same concerns as you. But I am thinking of cutting it, then putting a stull grille in for the larger rocks.



Tabs of some sort would have to be made to attatch it to a grille that has been cutout, nothing difficult though. Or if you don't like the grille idea try cutting out just the middle between the foglights and make some sort of mesh like the ls1 front end, of course that would be more difficult because you'd have to get it right or else it'd look horrible.

yeah im unsure if i want to dont want a rock taking something out that would really suck i was thinking about puting mesh way back infront of the rad and trans cooler so you cant see it but its there to protect it i dont like the look of mesh at all but it would do the job if its set back far enough
