Default Finished my carbon fiber upper radiator support!

I'm really happy with how it came out. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics.

I used 2x2 twill carbon fiber from a friend of mine that works at a local car stereo place that build custom boxes. I did alot of research and i already have the sanding and buffing experience so I put the research and knowledge together to create it.

Unfortunately I don't have the original, but I can weigh the piece by itself and maybe someone on here can weigh the original one. My main purpose wasn't for weight saving although it will weigh less. It was to make an original part that looks badass. I tried to weigh it and it won't even show up on the scale it weighs less than .1 pounds. I weighed a stainless version of the radiator support and it weighs .8 pounds. The stock is probably about .5-.8 pounds. It's nothing huge.

It looks GREAT, but FYI for most of you....I think 90% of the guys asking about it have LS1 cars and unless they are planning to go with forced induction they can't use that piece in that configuration.

That would be interesting to see...there would be A LOT more work involved but I am sure it would sell!

Yes, I'm reviving an old thread.

This same thread is on LTXTech by a user named ADAM.

Does anyone know how to get ahold of this guy? I have a really nice setup with CF valve covers, and have done a bunch of really nice things to my engine bay, etc, and I still have the ugly stock upper radiator support.
Having a carbon fiber one would REALLY complete my setup.

Anyone have contact info? Like an e-mail or phone #?

I want one! I'd run a camaro style filter town in front of the radiator or something...I think that peice looks awesome. Well done.
