6LE split-CME tips installed on my dirty car...

Good news (to some, and me). I painted the inside a high-temp matte black a few minutes after my last post and got to look at it right before it got dark. Looks GREAT like that! Pics tomorrow.
P.S. Thanks for the Photoshop work, Rai

Really? I thought 6LE and I were the only ones brave (or stupid?) enough to put them on our cars... haha. Mine have been sitting in a box for weeks!

I'm thinking of painting the muffler outlet piping black up to the back of the tips. Might make it look better from the side view until I get some rear GFX...
Oh you mean the smoked gray Ractive tips that Texas Speed sells with their catbacks. Those are similar in design but a lot narrower (and deeper, which is nice). These split-CME tips from 6LE are actually so wide that they don't fit inside a TA rear bumper (but the Ractive's are narrow enough to fit). The biggest problem I have with these personally is that they are not very deep, so you can see a lot of exhaust piping before the actual tip with this Formula bumper. I had the stock pea-shooter tips and before that, turndowns, so I was pretty damn tired of having small tips... lol Figured I could use the large bumper space of a Formula to my advantage if I could find an oval-ish tip large enough to fill the entire space. The only pics of Ractive's I could find made them look really small.

^^Not seeing them on their page (all I see is options for R Active or Magnaflow tips). If there was a huge demand I sure as hell didn't hear about it, mine and Lee's are the only ones made that I know of
I had these made solely to fit the DE Valance (that I have yet to install) though... We held them up to Lee's car one night and realized they were a damn nice fit for Firebird/Formulas

But, you did buy corsa Clones on ebay for about $90 shipped. So, sell your Corsa Clones and use dumps. It would look better. Plus, you'd be making money. Financially and aesthetically responsible! I got these tips at a hefty discount due to a mis-order on somebody else's part, so it was actually cheaper than buying brand new tips through Magnaflow.

You cannot pull those off without a lip kit. You need to find a wrecked w68. Do you like the wings west kit? I dont remember it well. I think they look horrible now, but would definitely fill out the w68 kit properly!

Post #1 updated with new pics of the insides painted black, and my car no longer dirty (note to self: buffing and waxing outdoors at midnight surrounded by light-attracted bugs really sucks).
W68 kits are impossible to find, and I am always looking... I have only found two V6 F-bodies in any wrecking yards within a 40 mile radius of where I used to live. I put out a feeler on a V6 board to see if anybody had a W68 rear, but I'd need them to take measurements first so that I know the tips will fit. I don't know anybody with a W68 car and I never see 'em, so I'm not totally sure that the tips will fit.

I have 3" clones and they fit perfectly. tucked up nice and no gaps. I can take measurements of mine if you show me how or where you want them at.
