Painting Rotor Hat - What Color
Getting ready to order some G2 caliper paint for my rusty rotor hats but am not sure what color to go with, BLACK or SILVER!?!? Don't worry, I am not painting the portion that actually connects to the rim, just the portion that is seen looking at the car. The rusty portion of the front rotors is not that noticeable but it is very noticeable in the rear, looks like I have gold rotors.
What do you guys think, I am leaving towards silver because I think it will blend nicely with the silver Z06s. Currently have black brackets and red calipers.

Just to add a thought:
Eastwood makes a drum and rotor paint that is similar to cast iron color. I like the look because it doesn't look overdone and the paint is very "slippery" - make cleaning the dust off the rotors a breeze.

father in law was redoing a 69 camaro bought a whole suspension and brakes and rear end kit from some chassis company and they used a wildwood brake kit and they powdercoated the whole rotor (obviously after one good run the powder will rub off the part of the rotor that gets used) looked amazing i would look into that

Black, and by the way that G2 painting system is awesome.. Very simple, excellent ceramic type finish and externely durable.. It's gauranteed to never chip.. Only problem, it's expensive.. but well worth it IMO.

Thanks for the info. Found it on ebay for 37.99 + 8% off for that live.com discount. Not bad, about $9 a rotor. Now I just have to figure out how to get all 4 wheels off the ground since I have to paint them all at the same time (only have 4-6 hours once you add the hardener to the paint)
