I think a different color would like hot. Maybe a pure white 6000k color or maybe even a 8000k color.
I had my Formula when I worked at Advance Automotive Concepts and they are one of the leading Halo companies in the country. I thought of this a few time but never did do it to mine. I suggest getting intouch with them (just goggle the name) and telling them what you want to do, they can take care of you. Be sure to tell them Richard with the white Formula recommended them. Maybe they'll feel sorry for letting me go, lol.

I put these on my car when i first got it but water started getting into them so i got rid of em. too bad i didnt do some research i should of siliconed them first. Do yours change colors? Mine had like 6 different options, i mostly ran blue for the color of my car.

Thanks for the feedback. I paid about $60 for them at Pep Boys about a year ago (maybe less). They are LEDs and you can pick one of 7 colors. Red, Orange, Blue, Purple, Green, and two other colors that I can't think of. One is supposed to be white but it is really just all of the LED's on at once, and I haven't seen it with the halos mounted on my car. I'll have to check again tonight or tomorrow to see what the two missing colors are.

Haven't been using any other color than orange since any other of the colors are illegal for on-road use in my state.
Mine are fine and have never leaked or fogged up. Went on a roadtrip through 10,000 feet+ elevation from sea level and 3,000 miles distance with 15 degree to 90 degree temperatures. You probably got the Autopia branded ones from eBay? Mine are Pilot/Navigator branded NV-362W.
eBay is probably one of the few places you can find it any more unless you order it from one of the distributors/dealers for Pilot lights. I got them from Pep Boys. Pilot/Navigator branded NV-362W. Be careful as Autopia lights are the most common ones to find on eBay and the quality/install on those is less than stellar...
You'd have to find a different model light by Pilot (smaller one) since these are foglight sized not DRL sized, fab up a custom bracket or cut/drill into the bumper (since the mount is different on the DRLs), and wire up a DRL disable switch to keep them off unless you want to blind drivers in front of you at night.
