Default Ice Clay bar

Just wondering.. Has anybody used the Ice Clay Bar Kit, and is it any better or worse than any other clay bar? Are they all the same? I've only heard of people using the liquid clay by ice, which everyone seems to agree is crap.

I'm sure it will be better than anything liquid. I might give it a shot when i get home from harvest.

The Ice kit comes with liquid clay also. Would there ever be a reason to use the liquid?

If you try it let me know how it works for you.

i guess it might work as a good lube for the clay. I havent even looked at it, the liquid is clear like the rest of the stuff right?

As stated in a few other threads, liquid claybar is a joke.

Yeah so I hear... But their kit comes with both a real clay bar AND the liquid. My questions are will their "real" clay bar work as well as the Meguiar's? Are all clay bars created equal? If you had the real clay bar why would you need the liquid?

I have yet to see any reviews on the Ice clay bar.. So I'm going to answer my own question and buy the kit tonight. And try to resell the liquid I was just trying to save the $15

The Ice doesn't come with a actual clay bar. At least mine didn't. Just the liquid and an applicator. Doesn't work worth a **** though...

That's probably what I'll do... Mothers or Meguiar's. I didn't get a chance last night to go out and buy anything. THIS is the kit I was talking about. It comes with one 100g clay bar AND the liquid clay and lubricant.

The Meguiar's kit comes with two 50g bars so it kind of evens out. I guess the Ice clay bar must be pretty new, since nobodies used or heard of it. But you all have me convinced, I'll be going with the Meguiar's kit. Thanks for all the help.

it doesn't seem like anyone's said anything about the Mother's clay bar. we clearanced a few out at my work so i have like 3 kits that i paid $7 each for. i've used them once just a real quick job and it didn't seem to do too bad.

I detail cars and I talked to my neighbor who has been detailing for years, and he was telling me that all clay is the same (literally). The guy who invented it apparently sued all the companies who replicated his, and now all companies (Meguiar's, Mothers, etc) have the exact same formula, just different lubricants (Quick Detail, Showtime, etc).
Liquid clay (I've never tried and never will) is a joke, because it doesn't even make sense...just like polish/wax, not even possible, those are completely different products.

I haven't researched that, but this is what he told me.
