Default Steering wheel stereo control mod

Just finished "deleting" my steering wheel stereo controls. I've searched around to see who else has performed this little mod but I could not find anyone. So, for those of you who no longer use your steering wheel stereo controls and want to "snazz up" your interior a little, here is a little how to thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/11648297-post73.html and https://ls1tech.com/forums/11649194-post74.html

Here are the BEFORE and AFTER pics.. I know the color looks different, but one picture, I used my flash and in the other picture(s), I did not. Same camera (Nikon 8800). Same airbag. Different steering wheel.

Looks alright...you gonna go with ebony inserts? or is this the finished product? If the car is yellow and black I'd be cool.

Yeah.. I'm familiar with the adapter harness. Since my radio is a touch screen, I prefer the use of the touch screen.

Thanks.. Yeah, this is the finished product. Cost me about $10. The interior is that Dark Charcoal Grey color with Corvette Yellow accents, roll bar, etc..

are you planning on making that yellow button functional so you press it and it turns into bumblebee the transformer?

LOL, no those buttons are for turbo boost and super pursuit mode j/k

i'd be interested to see steering wheel colored covers for those buttons. i've had my car for 5 years and haven't ever used the buttons since i changed the radio out the day i bought it and at that time didn't know about the aftermarket controller function and don't necessarily think its worth $100+ to get working (and one of my lights on my buttons is burnt out so i have them both disconnected so it doesn't look funky with one light set on and one off)

Hey.. that's an idea! Nitrous arm / disarm / purge buttons. Hmmmmm, some motivated sponsor here is probably capable of a limited production! 6litereater perhaps???

Thanks bro.. It's just something different. Some still need their controls but for me, I disconnected my controls long ago...

Well bumblebee and I had an argument. He said he would only transform into a 5th generation Camaro and absolutely refused to transform into a 4th gen Trans Am. ..hehe.

Thanks. It was a bit of a challenge gettin' it in. Took me about a full day.. Gotta love Wolfe Roll Bars! Totally worth it.

^ Great idea! I would love to have my line lock button right there on the steering wheel.

Would also be great for like cutouts and this and that.

Pretty neat idea sir. The yellow theme in the interior looks cool as well with the matching cage.
