so i went to install a set of these on my 98 LS1.... and figured out that they don't fit.

other than the throttle linkage bracket, is there anywhere else on these that i need to trim???

They have to be heavily modified if they're right off of a 'vette. Do a search and you should be able to find dozens of threads about the FRC mod.

I know you have to notch out the passenger one for the big wire loom in the back.

if you still have your egr you will have to do more cutting then without the egr stuff on there. just take a little off at a time, try to fit them, and trim a little mire till they fit

Yep, as long as you are prepared to wait 6 months like I had to and get a product that's so-so in quality.

I hate to hear that... I just ordered a painted set from them. Was told it should only be 2 weeks. I remembered hearing they had a long wait but i asked that question and was assured it should be around 2-3 weeks. Lets hope that is true..

I hope your wait is only 2 weeks. I was told 2 months. Which stretched into 3, then 4, then 5, then finally at the 6 month mark they arrived. I also hope yours are better made than mine are.

Too bad you all have to wait soooo long for that vendor to get them to ya, ...
If ya only knew the right person to contact, maybe you could get them quicker somewhere else.
Hmmm, ..., Oh well, good luck!
(That's all I can say out in the open, ..., )

It's always good to get them pre cut if you can + paint. If you take your time and have the right tools go for it. Always helps to know somone.lol.

I know I didn't want to wait 3, 4, 5 or 6 months. So I ordered my set from a Corvette-specific vendor, who will make the mods for Camaro owners.
Yes...the covers say Corvette. I was thinking about asking them to shave off the lettering, but the got to thinking...98 was the first year the Camaro had the Corvette LS1 engine (if de-tuned a bit; which I promptly corrected). So I figured I'd pay a little tribute to that.

Those look pretty cool, the remind me of some old M/T valve covers I had on my '77 Trans Am back in the day. When I do the LS6 upgrade I'd like to have valve covers like that only without the 'Corvette' logo. Looks good!

Got my FRC's yesterday. They look great!! I would recommend Afterthought Auto to get some custom FRC's. I dont have any pics yet but i would rate them at a 9 out of 10. Took a little over 3 weeks.
