Default Removing factory stickers

The car has been in service since Sept 00.

I want to remove the stickers on the sun visors, driver's shock tower, and the fuse boxes. Thought I would take pics of the engine compartment stickers incase I screwed them up. What is the best method for removing the visor and engine bay stickers? Thanks

The visor stickers, I removed just by gently pulling them off. You may want to slightly heat them up with a hair dryer to soften the glue. Used Goo Gone to remove any residual glue. Just make sure you keep the fabric taught, or it will stretch and look goofy.

The engine compartment stickers are tricky, they are "tamper" evident. Pull them off slowly, and MOST of the glue will come off. You will see a big chunk of white goo get left behind. Again used Goo Gone to remove the glue, takes quite a bit of work. Be careful not to use any super strong solvent or the paint will come off. The paint in the engine compartment is very thin!

The fan belt routing sticker and the emissions sticker can be ordered with the part number noted on them for future reference.

Good luck.

Hey thanks guys. I'll give it a shot. Or maybe I'll have a shot before removing them.

"No Stickers R Us"

The visor stickers came of easily after heating them with the hair dryer. Put pressure against the fabric an it is still tight. Just a little glue to clean off.

The accessory belt sticker came off intact. Stuck it to a card an stowed it away in the owner's manual. Very little glue to clean up. The large sticker was another story. It separarted when removed. What I had was a clear sheet in my hand and alot of white chit on the fender well. The goo-gone took it all off.

No paint was lost in the process. Should have done this when the car was delivered.

Glad all went OK, the sticker separating like that is for tamper evidencing! I guess it sure does leave the "evidence" behind!
