Nice. Did you notice any difference at all after doing the heater hose mod? Any sounds that weren't there before? Rougher ride?

Nice, some konis up front with the stock springs on the lower perch would compliment the rears' stance.

Oh well, just gives you a reason to get springs later on down the road.

Looks good I did it to my Hawk and I noticed a difference very harsh ride. The heater mod looked good but the rearend felt like when i would hit a bump that the rear end was not following the car. So I bought some strano springs and am much happier.

Maybe my Koni adjustable shocks were not on the right setting. Glad your
T/A has a better ride than mine with the hose mod. congrats

you take your rear springs out, take out the rubber isolator that sits on top of them, coil heater hose around the top of the spring, then put the spring back in place. lowers the car 1/2-3/4 of an inch and takes on time at all

What I meant was I don't think that there is a "lower perch" for Bilsteins. Only Koni SA's have that...

Remove rear springs and upper isolator
Take 1/2" ID heater hose and insert around upper spring coil. Reinstall spring without factory upper isolator.

Just a hint for when you replace the front shocks...PACK THE CUP ON TOP WITH GREASE!!!!! I replaced my shocks with Bilsteins like 3years and 10k-15k miles ago and when I went to pu the new BMR springs in this weekend the top shock nut was rusted to hell! Plus I live in New Mexico where it hardly ever rains and there is never moisture in the air. I sure did pack it with grease this time after putting the new springs in.

Looks good, I need shocks too and will most likely do the heater hose mod then. Hows the shifter handle working out for ya Hitman?

So did you put the isolator back in if it was so bad?

Did anyone else do this mod and notice a big difference. Im sure their in there for a reason.

Yeah, the reason is to cut noise.
Its a good mod for cheap. And like most other mods, its not right for everyone. But, this one is good if you do it right to avoid squeaking.
