Factory Chrome Wheels Causing Slow Leak!
I had a slow leak in one of my tires and finally got around to having it checked out. I figured it was the valve, since I didn't see anything in the tire. Turns out the leak was caused by the inside of the chrome wheel flaking off, which prevented the tire bead from establishing a good seal. The tire shop sanded down the bad spot, but I don't think it stopped the leak. Has anyone else had this occur to them, and if so, how did you stop it (short of buying new wheels).
Thanks in advance for any help provided!

On older aluminum wheels this was a problem,
last time I had tires mounted to my beater
the tire shop just spooged rubber cement-
looking stuff all over the bead lip. That,
and a few cans of fix-a-flat, and it hardly
leaks at all anymore.
