Detail: '98 Black Toyota Camry
First off lemme say that I didn't go NUTS on this car (cause it wasn't worth it) but I cleaned it up. It's my friends Camry, and the paint is beat to all living hell. I was getting ready to go over it one last time and I looked over my shoulder, and there was a BLACK cloud rolling in. So I washed it one last time and took some pics. The after pics were taken after the car was dried, so no, I'm not cheating
I used a PC 7424.. Menzerna SIP with an Orange pad, then went over with a white pad. I've yet to put some Zaino over it.
BEFORE (Don't cry people):
It was about to POUR and I lost light, but I have a couple pics with the flash on up close, pretty clear right?
After
lol @ my hair
Look at the clouds..
EDIT! MORE PICS A FEW POSTS DOWN! GO LOOK!

Nic job Brian.. I taking my '95 Avalon this tuesday to get it done professionally.. Mine is WAY worse than that. My car has 222K on it
BTW what does SIP stand for?
You seem to know what your doing when it comes to detailing cars. What is the difference with the orange pads, whit pads? And tell me more about Zaino..
B/C after my toyota gets done, the same guy is doing my Trans Am. And i need to know how to maintain it after it finishes it..
Thanks

Haha bring it over!
Hell yeah man, I've never seen such dark clouds roll in so fast. It was BLACK on one side of the car and sunny on the other. It was weird.
Damn that's a lot of miles. Good old Toyota lol. The difference between the pads (from what I understand) is that some are more abrasive than others. SIP stands for Super Intensive Polish. Menzerna carries Intensive Polish, and SIP. SIP is better for our cars because our clear coats are somewhat hard. SIP is a GREAT polish that works well with an orange pad. The orange pad is one of the more abrasive pads, that is capable of removing heavy scratches and oxidation.
After I go over the car with SIP/orange pad combo, I went over it with smooth cut (it's less abrasive than SIP, but you can use SIP again on this pad) on a WHITE pad. This is like a step down from the orange pad, and it should take out any scratches/marring/swirls left over from the orange pad. Then, if you want to use the buffer to apply wax, you can use a blue pad. The blue pad is very soft and is meant for applying wax/sealants. However I use zaino by hand so I don't use the blue much.
I'm going outside now to put some Zaino on. Z5 is great for dark colored cars because it helps to cover swirls/scratches too. Z2 is their primary polish, so I'm going to use both, alternatively. I love Zaino because it lasts a LONG time on my Trans Am, and makes such a great shine.
I don't know if all this info I gave you is 100% correct, because I've only been using the PC for a short amount of time, and I'm still learning as well.
