What a TB! Candy Apple Red
After quite a bit of testing, I finally have the custom Candy Apple Red Powdercoating down. I wanted something to go along with the anodized red Meziere H20. What's simply amazing is that the powdercoated TB & MAF look better than the Meziere. Does your car deserve this?

And for $hits and giggles, here's my Rear-end cover:

There's so many parts I want to do, so little time.

Man, that looks really good. Makes me almost wish my color scheme was black/red instead of black/silver.

Re: What a TB! Candy Apple Red
Thanks for the compliments guys.
Is this the BLUE you are referring to (it actually changes from Blue/Purple depending upon the light...I forget what they call that color):

Ragtop 99:
I need to do alot of things on my car. I'm just getting caught up and can work on it a little. I'll be showing some other cool stuff shortly.
MIGHTYMOUSE:
Box it up Buddy! I can do all of that stuff. Unfortuanately my oven isn't big enough to do the rear-end housing, or I'de show you AMAZING. When I build a 12 bolt, I will certainly be doing it. I'll be getting a larger oven eventually.
I'll do some Valvecovers up today.
NastyC5:
I haven't yet, but certainly can. I've done TB's for a Honda, Ford Lightening, standard Ford 5.4, and older GM TBI's. Just how much you'll gain by porting is on a case basis, but they can all be powdercoated, and any other metal part for that matter.

Looks good John. Now I need to get after mine.
Which breather are you using in that pic? I need to get one, I pulled the TB off and was oil soaked even after the updated EGR.

(Metco Breather)
Jantz, are you getting a nice finish on the valvecovers? We had some spots where it seemed like impurities came out of the valve covers themselves, may have been poor pre-prepp.
With the candy colors, are you getting nice adherence with the second coat?

Trevor:
I've got 3 different orange colors. Chevy orange and a couple of the translucents that I haven't tried yet. I can get one like sunset orange. I'll do one up next week for you to see.
PSJ:
There does seem to be impurities in the valve covers. You need to pre-bake the part and then wipe it off again. I haven't had any problems thus far. The second coat is tricky to get to stick. I had all kinds of problems with this in the beginning. Then I learned a trick that works everytime, apply the 2nd coat right after you pull the part out of the oven. It'll bake right on.
Chris:
I think you'll like it. I have one done that I'm waiting on the epoxy to cure.
