when i ordered my '69 ss emblem it came with mounting brackets for me to use to attach it to my grille. if your emblem didnt come with one you can always fab up your own one to meet your needs. hopefuly this helps ya out.

3M double sided tape holds pretty well, the emblems are molded to fit the front grill right? I've never had anything fall off that I've used 3M auto tape on, but I do check the stuff often.

The 3M emblem adhesive tape will do the trick. Just take the ss emblem, trace it onto some paper, then take the paper and cut out that shape on the tape inside the line just a bit. Stick it on and its good to go. Let it sit at least 24 hours before washing, and its a good idea to come back once or twice and press the emblem down so it sticks better. Should stick for the lifetime of the car.
